Thrown

She sits as still as silence
Better here than alone
Holds her breath
Deep inside, so no one will find her

Thrown on the ground
Made to crawl through each day
Not a single hand or light in sight
Alone, on the ground she stays
Dreading each waking day
She knows what she faces, today

Her beautiful spirit, and personality suppressed
By foolishness and ignorance
Turned to silence, a shy girl once outspoken
The world has been fierce
